Happy Clients & Students

A couple of words from those who I've helped to find and get ahead on their paths.

"At the risk of sounding like an infomercial (except this is all true) here goes: I am a returning student who started school without fully knowing what I wanted to get my degree in. By the time I made it to the cluster you taught I had already identified communications as my gift, but I lacked the confidence, belief in my abilities, and guidance needed in order to step into the next phase of my career. You didn’t just teach advertising, promotions, and PR...you taught me how to market myself to get the job that I want. And the result of that was, not even 3 months of being out of your classes, I got a job in Marketing BEFORE finishing my degree!!

I listened to a podcast a while ago from a pastor in California and he said we spend a lot of time telling our children to go to school and get a degree and what we should do is to tell them to find their purpose. I feel this is what you do. You challenged me to find my purpose and even now, as I sit in this office doing something I never imagined myself doing, I still apply the things you taught me and that has allowed me the opportunity to do more of what I WANT to do here vs what they want me to do and I attribute that to you and what you taught me.

For anyone who may read this before or after taking a class from you, the process Jasmine has you go through may be uncomfortable (as it was for me), but if you do the work, then apply it to your life it WILL work. Thank you Professor."

"I always say I’m trying to be the best version of myself and when you said that it has always been instilled within me and I use in and within my career at the postal service and all of your interviewing tools allowed me to elevate my position. I really appreciate you for that."

"Major difference between bragging -- branding!"
Thank you so much Jasmine!

"Going back to school has by far been one of the most challenging things I’ve had to do... hard but very rewarding to say the least. Especially when you find yourself in a young African-American Professor’s class room, that in spite of her age has wisdom beyond. It’s great to be taught by someone younger than you but leave so full and inspired. So amazing that God chooses who he chooses to lead the pack!

Thanks so much for all the knowledge you implanted in me. My presentation skills have been bomb since I took your course. If a business needs a SWOT Analysis... I got you! LOL 🤓

Now that I have obtained my first degree I plan to relocate back home to California in hopes of securing employment in my field of study. Also for my children to follow suit. Life has a way of changing directions and it up to us to be behind the wheel controlling when the car stops. But remembering we have the keys to start the car back up again!"

This quarter has been one of my favorites thus far. Your hands on, focused style of instruction is something that lacks with many others in the program. As an adult with so many pressing things happening in my life, it is refreshing to be able to learn through experience as well as written assignments. I feel as though I have learned quite a bit from our class room discussions alone. Having the opportunity to talk through real life situations and learn from them has been most refreshing. Thanks to you, I can honestly say that I feel slightly more prepared for the corporate world and what it may bring in a typical day's work. The hands on experience that you provide will stick with us students through our careers. Thank You

Thank you very much for allowing me to jump into Saturday's seminar at the last minute. As it happens, I am between jobs and thinking critically about my own values and interests, so you're wisdom on personal branding has been of particular value to me.

I very much like the term 'areas of development', and also I was encouraged by a point you made about positioning oneself for visibility through the use of a branding tool kit. Reshaping the way I view social resources is now something that I will work to improve on.

Thank you again for sharing your expertise!
