The jasmine expreience

At the risk of sounding like an infomercial (except this is all true) here goes: I was a returning student who started school without fully knowing what I wanted to get my degree in. By the time I made it to the class Jasmine taught I had already identified communications as my gift, but I lacked the confidence, belief in my abilities, and guidance needed in order to step into the next phase of my career.

Jasmine didn’t just teach advertising, promotions, and PR...she taught me how to market myself to get the job that I want. And the result of that was, not even 3 months of being out of her classes, I got a job in Marketing BEFORE finishing my degree!!

I listened to a podcast a while ago from a pastor in California and he said we spend a lot of time telling our children to go to school and get a degree and what we should do is to tell them to find their purpose. I feel this is Jasmine does.

She challenged me to find my purpose and even now, as I sit in this office doing something I never imagined myself doing, I still apply the things Jasmine taught me and that has allowed me the opportunity to do more of what I WANT to do here vs what they want me to do and I attribute that to Jasmine and the things she has taught me. 

For anyone who may read this before or after taking a class from Jasmine, the process she has you go through may be uncomfortable (as it was for me), but if you do the work, then apply it to your life it WILL work. Thank you Professor
